Happening:
New Orality Studies Program
With 19 students from 10 nations across 4 continents, we launched a new orality studies program. Through our partner, Koinonia Theological Seminary (KTS), the program is fully ATA-accredited and offers a Professional Certification and academic degrees at MA and PhD levels.
We thank God for this opportunity and pray that our first cohort will set new standards as we deploy a mentored, competency-based theological education.

In our latest Orality Talk Webinar, speakers Jun Marc Dapitan and Paul Arceno shared how digital technology has become more than just a tool. It has become an extension of ourselves and a platform that can shape how we see ourselves and form our identity. As technology continues to influence the way we think, connect, and communicate, the church needs to understand how to engage the digital space wisely. For followers of Jesus, this also raises an important question: How is technology shaping our hearts, minds, and identity in Christ?
Technology is not simply something we use. It can also shape who we are. As the church engages the digital world, we are called to use these platforms wisely while remaining mindful of how they influence our hearts, minds, and identity in Christ.

ARISE Asia 2026
With thousands of delegates from 54 nations gathering at Arise, IOS had the privilege of conducting a workshop on Narratives, attended by more than 200 participants. The workshop gave participants more than an opportunity to learn about orality. They experienced what it means to tell the story, become part of the story, and encounter Jesus through it. Many participants shared how meaningful it was to move beyond simply reading or studying a Bible story and instead experience themselves as part of the story. Others highlighted how engaging Bible story dialogue can be an effective approach to preaching and communicating Scripture.
